FIND YOUR PATH.

WALK YOUR JOURNEY.

Plants

Beginning therapy can feel like a daunting and formidable task. At times, we may need extra support and guidance to navigate difficult challenges, healthier relationships, or to better understand our identity. It’s not unusual to feel lonely, disconnected, or stuck. With warmth, compassion, empathy, and a bit of humor I journey with clients to become the best version of themselves. We as individuals have a remarkable capacity to heal, change, and grow. I encourage and challenge clients to practice self-compassion, authenticity, and a deep understanding of true and lasting joy. In the end, we just want to know everything will be OK. In John 15 Jesus tells his disciples, in the face of his own suffering, the key to having a life filled with joy, He ways in verse 9, “As the Father has loved me, so I have loved you. Abide in my love.”

Treatment Orientation

I do not rely on one particular technique, but tailor my approach to meet the needs of each individual client. These approaches include, but are not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT),Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) techniques for the treatment of PTST, Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT). In addition, I utilize Mindfulness strategies depending upon the needs of each client and the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model (MPT-M) which recognizes the partner as a victim of trauma rather than a “co-addict”. I provide therapy for teens as they adjust to high school, mood swings, and peer pressure; young adult women as they look to improve their self-identity and explore issues of self-esteem and relationship skills.
